Ski fans love the Plose ski area for one simple reason: it’s rich! In fact, rich in its variety, panoramas, options, sun ... the Plose ski area is located above the former Episcopal town of Bressanone/Brixen and is easy to reach from the Hotel Löwenhof At our hotel in Bressanone/Brixen we have reserved a heated ski room for our slope shredders where they can store their equipment. There are also special concessions for ski hire and lessons for our skiing guests. However, it’s not just the Plose ski area that is in the immediate vicinity: on holiday at the Löwenhof you have the opportunity to test out several ski areas in the world’s largest ski network, Dolomiti Superski!

Facts about the Plose ski area

The Plose ski area is ideal for beginners and professionals thanks to the variety of slopes. The 40 kilometres of slopes in varying levels of difficulty are 100% skiable and are prepared perfectly every day – making skiing in the Plose ski area great fun! The Plose is considered to be one of the sunniest ski areas in the whole of South Tyrol and is therefore popular with skiers and snowboarders. This is not least due to the stunning panorama that extends across the Dolomites and the other alpine peaks in northern South Tyrol.

Skiing in the Plose ski area stands for fun and action but also panorama-packed enjoyable skiing and of course mountain inn indulgence. Numerous mountain inns and restaurants offer hearty food, ideal for topping up your energy before you attack the next run.

Passionate skiers and snowboarders love the performance check in the Plose ski area: with this your personal performance (difference in altitude and time) is recorded and you can access it online at the end of the day. Another highlight in the Plose ski area: South Tyrol’s longest downhill run to the valley, roughly nine kilometres long with a 1,400 metre difference in altitude. You can also start adventures at night with Friday Night Fever!

Children on the other hand can have fun at the Kinderland and on the nursery slopes especially reserved for them. The skiing professionals at the Plose ski school offer private lessons and group courses for all ages – you and your children learn skiing in an entertaining way with them.

The Funpark in the Plose ski area, which is situated right next to the Schönboden lift’s top station at 2,300 metres is a paradise for snowboarders. A whole range of different obstacles including lines, kickers, rollers, rails and fun boxes, line the park and are a podium for spectacular jumps. A popular place for people with the same interests to meet up is the chill area at the Funpark’s entrance.

Another advantage: Non-skiers can accompany skiing fans thanks to the Brixen Card – one free return cable car trip is included per day.

The Plose ski area is part of the legendary Dolomiti Superski network. Anyone who buys a Dolomiti Superski pass has the opportunity to ski a total of 12 ski areas and roughly 1,200 kilometres of slopes. Thanks to our hotel’s perfect location in Bressanone/Brixen you not only reach the Plose ski area in just a few minutes but many other ski areas that are part of the ski network and offer you unspeakable views and magical skiing moments. If you like you can go to a different ski area every day on your skiing holiday and observe the magic of South Tyrol’s mountains from a different perspective every day.
