Plose: tobogganing on South Tyrol’s longest toboggan run

It’s a whole 10.5 kilometres long, the RudiRun toboggan run that provides ultimate fun for all ages. The route that is suitable for tobogganing on the Plose is split into two sections: the first one is technically easier and can therefore mastered by anyone, it is also usually covered with plenty of natural snow and can be reached by lift; this section is ideal for families. Ambitious tobogganers on the other hand test the whole length of the run on the Plose in Bressanone/Brixen. The run also stays open in the evening for Friday Night Fever. The sledges can be hired at the Plose bottom station in Bressanone/Brixen.

Alpine tours on the Plose in Bressanone/Brixen

You can reach South Tyrol’s most popular areas in no time at all but caution is called for: anyone setting off on an off-piste tour should always put safety first and consult the avalanche reports and have the right equipment ready. It is best to set off on an alpine tour with an experienced guide, we will be happy to advise you!

Snowshoeing – deserted vastness

Snowshoeing has its very own unique magic – the silent vastness, fields and slopes, snow crystals that sparkle in the sunlight ... wonderful snowshoe hikes can be enjoyed around our Hotel Löwenhof and the Plose in Bressanone/Brixen but also in the Val di Fundres/Pfunderer Tal, the Rio Pusteria/Gitschberg-Jochtal hiking and ski area and of course in the nearby Dolomites. Our tip: Spelónca/Spiluck above Varna/Vahrn, an idyllic little hamlet with a captivating effect.
